Ravensbourne Athletic Football Club or Rave AFC is the football club of Ravensbourne University's football society.
Based in North Greenwich, East London the roots of the society began in 2020 when a group of university freshers wanted a chance to bond, socialise and keep fit despite the lockdown imposed due to Covid. In 2021 the students decided to make it official and created the first sports society at Ravensbourne University. They wanted their society to be open and fully inclusive so they set up a weekly "casual kickabouts" for all students. Their second plan was more ambitious, they wanted to create an actual grassroots football club to play in the local sunday league.
After creating content for their socials during winter 2021, Rory Swift decided to go further and document the rest of Rave AFC's debut season.
